Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV) as part of your beauty routine

This is no new secret, ACV has been part of beauty treatment for centuries.  Some research shows that this was used by ancient Greeks, Romans, and Egyptians, for beauty purposes.

ACV has often been used as a skin toner, as it's believed it will help balance the pH of your skin therefore helping to reduce the appearance of pores.  As well as this, its been popular for the treatment of acne and some skin irritations, due to its antibacterial properties.

How Apple Cider Vinegar can be used daily

There has however now been a renewed interest in the use of Apple Cider Vinegar in daily beauty treatments.  There are several daily beauty routines with the use of Apple Cider Vinegar you can adopt for healthy glowing skin, we'll take a look at three of these below.

Apple Cider Vinegar toner

Using Apple Cider Vinegar toner has been shown benefits in balancing your skins pH.  There are several shop-bought toners that now include Apple Cider Vinegar, however you can always make your own toner with the use of your own ACV.

Here's a simple guide / recipe for a home made ACV toner:

  1. 1tbs of Raw Apple Cidar Vinegar
  2. 2tbs water.

Directions
Add the ACV and water in to a bottle, shake well before each use.  Apply to your face using a cotton pad.  Then rinse your face and avoid the eye area.

This can help reduce the appearance of pores.

Apple Cider Vinegar Face Mask

As Apple Cider Vinegar has grown in popularity over the years, as have ACV face masks.  There are several brands now specialising in this, however, it is also something that can be made out home quite easily, which is often quite attractive if you're on a budget but still looking to have glowing skin.

Apple Cider Vinegar in the form of a supplement

The benefit of having Apple Cider Vinegar in a supplement form means that often it can be complemented with additional vitamins or minerals that complement the overall function of ACV.   Taking ACV with chromium and vitamin C as a daily supplement may also help to promote healthy skin from the inside out. This is because ACV can help reduce inflammation, which can have a positive impact on skin health. And chromium and vitamin C are also powerful antioxidants that can help support your skin as well having a positive impact on the promotion of collagen production. With ACV being an acidic flavour, taking this in a gummy format may make this a supplement you look forward to taking daily.

Overall, if you have severe skin irritations, it's best to consult a healthcare specialist.  We've just been looking at how Apple Cider Vinegar can be used and is used by many, as part of their daily skin routine, for healthy, glowing skin.
